Mingle, eat, drink, and be entertained while strolling through UW-Eau Claire -- Barron County’s attractive public spaces at the 10th annual E.A.T.S. (Educational Assistance Through Scholarship) event, a unique fundraising experience on Saturday, February 2 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire -- Barron County (UWEC-BC) in Rice Lake.
The menu features sample-sized gourmet and ethnic appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks prepared by area restaurant chefs, bakers, brewers and UWEC-BC faculty and staff. Guest chefs will be located throughout Ritzinger and Meggers Halls with many activities taking place in The Commons. The event will have more than 35 sampling tables featuring familiar favorites, international flavors, locally distilled beverages and brews, and many sweet treats.
Food and drink samples will be provided by 20 Mile Organic, Barron County Cheese, Bistro 63, Bohemian Ovens, BluGold Roast, Brion’s Smokehouse Deli, Cheers at Tagalong, Chetek Bakery, Hilltop Retreat, Lehman’s Supper Club, Louie’s Finer Meats, Perlick’s Distillery, Reel ‘Em Inn, The Roost of Sarona, Valkyrie Brewing and nearly 20 UW-BC faculty, staff and students.
Other events taking place include raffles and silent and live auctions featuring a week-long San Diego oceanfront vacation rental, artwork, gift baskets, meals and unique experiences. Cash bars and a variety of live music add to the festive atmosphere.
